To:
Hunt for a Cure CJD 5k Run/Walk Participants (runners, walkers, sponsors, contributors, and volunteers):

Dear participants,

We’d like to take a moment to recognize each of you with our deepest gratitude! Thank you to every participant for taking part in the Hunt for a Cure CJD 5K Run/Walk – In Memory of Jon Fansler and All Those Lost to CJD organized by our board of directors (Rhonda Fansler – Founder/Event Planner, Brenda Short – Co-Founder, Mark Lytle – Director of Communications/Web Administrator, Annette Lytle – Director of Hospitality). We truly appreciate the time you took to plan and participate in our event. Without the generosity of every individual, our event could not have been a success for five years running. As mentioned at the event, the U.S. government has proposed budgetary cuts to the prion disease surveillance center. This nonprofit organization supports families affected by prion diseases, as well as raising awareness and supporting medical research. You, the participants of our event, have shown over the last five years that the prion disease surveillance center has a special meaning to you. It is in the best interest of ALL citizens that the prion disease surveillance center continues to receive funding from our government and through events such as our own. Your contributions do not go unnoticed!
You all have been wonderful participants with such athletic potential and creativity (for those of you who contributed to our gift-basket raffle). It felt wonderful to have you all at the event. We wish you all the very best for your future and we appreciate your talents, donations, and participation.

Without you there is no us! Alone we are rare; Together we are strong! We tip our hats to you!

Best Regards,
Hunt for a Cure CJD Board of Directors
